Rosemary was born in Nottinghamshire. She originally qualified as a registered nurse but a switch to an Art Foundation Course and further study meant she gained a degree in Textile and Fashion Design at Winchester School of Art.

She worked as a freelance textile designer for the furnishings market creating designs for Sanderson, John Lewis, Vymura and numerous print and weave companies across the world. It was not until 2009 that Rosemary was able to commit herself to being a full time artist.

Printmaking has instinctively been her focus (she won the Printmakers'  Printmaker Award at Printfest in Cumbria in 2013) but painting is also an inspirational and important part of her work. Mark making and colour predominate in both disciplines and her love of still life is depicted in either semi abstracted or in a more illustrative form. Her work has been described as, 'a mixture of still life and landscape pieces that have a beautiful abstract fluidity and movement with a warm, earthy palette’.

Rosemary prepares and prints all her own small edition screenprints in her studio overlooking the dramatic landscape of the Derbyshire Peak District.
