An art school training led on to a professional career as an illustrator/designer working with national newspapers & magazines in London & Cambridge. Paula relocated to the Southwest and became a member of Exeter's Double Elephant Print Workshop.

Drawing informs all of Paula’s work. The landscape and a contemporary view of the natural world are a permanent theme. She uses pencil, charcoal & graphite to make rapid, expressive sketches, which then feed into studio/print work.

Working with print methods which allow flexibility and responsiveness Paula makes unique images rather than the traditional editions. Her current work involves using unusual materials and tools which she employs drawing, cutting, scribing and peeling back the surface of the printing plate to create innovative marks and textures.
