Christine Relton and Tom Marine have been painting collaboratively since 1996. Their work in landscape and still life is distinctive for its graphic dark line drawing and saturated colour palette. Tom and Christine have separate roles in the creative process but they come together in discussion of the composition always with the aim of achieving a balance within the painting and conveying their enjoyment of the process.

Christine studied fine art at Leeds and Lancaster and Tom at Byam Shaw and Chelsea School of Art. They have completed public and private commissions and have works in the Collection at the House of Lords. Relton Marine are listed in ‘Who’s Who in Art’ and ‘Artists in Britain since 1945’.

This is their first outing at Hybrid Gallery.

All works are on canvas on a two inch deep wooden stretcher and are unframed.
