Niggy has a prodigious natural talent; untutored, she works within the tradition of Classical Realism, bringing a freshness to the genre. Her paintings of fruits and plates are much in demand and her output fairly minimal.

She makes the distinctive choice of an aerial view for her subject, fruits temptingly overflow an intricately patterned shallow dish. The rich colours of fruits and plates glow from the depths of the dark ground. Isolated from any further context the intrinsic beauty of her subjects are celebrated.

Niggy turned to painting, a childhood love as a form of meditation. An impulsive entry into the Wells Art Contemporary Open in 2012 propelled her painting career. She nows paints a limited number of canvases a year, please register interest with us if you'd like to hear when new work is released.
