Tim's most recent work explores the narrative in old family photo albums and cine film. Images originating in the 50s and 60s are chosen and reinterpreted in paint, their blurred outlines and indistinct detail favoured to promote anonymity and encourage the viewer to imagine their own narrative.

Two paintings in this series Parade and Setting Out have been hung in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024.

Tim studied Graphic Design & Illustration at Leicester Polytechnic and went on to represent artists as an illustrators’ agent and then as a gallerist. He returned to painting in 2016 although throughout his career drawing has been a constant, whether sketching characters he encounters in his day to day experience or capturing the life model at his regular class. It is the magic of recording a 3D object in a 2D medium which is the continuing motivation for him and always a thrill.

He has exhibited at Hybrid Gallery and at RA Summer Show 2019, 2020, 2024.
