Gregg Anston-Race
Gregg works from his glass studio on the Devon/Cornwall border making kiln formed glass vessels which he has exhibited nationwide since 2005.
Proximity to the coast, moors and mines of Cornwall has offered inspiration to Gregg. The colours and effects of the metal ore deposits in the old mine workings explored as a child influence the designs and textures of his glass.
Working mostly with coloured glass powder Gregg has developed techniques using long firing times which are unique to him. These result in vibrant colours and textured surfaces embedded in organic sculptural forms.
