Denise trained initially in textile design. After completing her degree, she worked for many years as a freelance illustrator for major publishing companies worldwide in the field of books, fine art prints, greeting cards and associated products.

She now concentrates on painting, inspired by the beautiful countryside where she lives in Shropshire. Her paintings are in watercolour and gouache, on hot pressed paper or vellum.
