Informed by personal experiences and her mixed Japanese-British heritage, Yuki's practice addresses notions of loss, longing and identity. She draws inspiration from nature, Japanese and European still life painting and the religious iconography of the 16th to18th centuries. In the work she combines the traditional with the contemporary, adopting the techniques of the Old Masters to create paintings from her digitally rendered collages.

Yuki studied fine art at Wimbledon School of Art, Camberwell College of Art and recently completed her MA at City & Guilds on London Art School.

Yuki is a new artist to Hybrid gallery and will be showing in the autumn in the "Oils" exhibition
