Annie studied printed textile design at Middlesex Polytechnic in the early 1980’s. She went on to design and hand paint her own bone china tableware sold in Liberty, Harrods and Thomas Goode in London and in stores in New York and Tokyo.

Recently Annie has returned to painting, the root of all her design work. She works from a studio at home in Sussex and shows across the south of England.

She concentrates on painting still lifes in oil; flowers usually picked from her garden and fruit in season. She likes to paint simple objects, simply placed. Light and reflection and the textures of the negative space interest Annie. Her light and confident strokes capture the essence of the subject creating compositions with a quiet stillness.
